Focus & Pomodoro
Work in focused intervals with a built-in Pomodoro timer — and pair it with the Track timer so the work gets logged.
ProjectPacer has a Pomodoro focus timer built in. An important distinction up front: the Pomodoro timer keeps you in focus/break cycles and chimes at the boundaries — it doesn't log time by itself. Time is logged by the Track timer. The two are designed to run together.
The Pomodoro page and its Track-timer chip appear when the feature is enabled for your workspace. If you don't see it, it may be turned off — the rest of tracking works without it.
The focus timer
On the Pomodoro page you get a countdown ring, a Focus / Break / Long-break phase, round pips, and Start / Pause / Reset / Skip. Set your cadence right there on the page:
Focus length, short break, long break, and how many rounds before a long break — all on the Pomodoro page (not buried in settings).
The ring counts down and chimes when a focus block or break ends.
The standalone Pomodoro timer is for focus, not tracking. To capture the work, run the Track timer at the same time (see below).
Pair it with the Track timer
Turn on Show on the Track timer and a small Focus / Break chip rides along under your running Track entry — so one timer logs the work while the chip keeps your rhythm. It's notify-only: it never pauses your tracking.
- Start with the timer — begins a focus cycle automatically whenever you start a Track entry.
- Otherwise, tap Start focus on the chip when you want the cycle to begin.
Break alerts
For a chime and a nudge when a block ends, allow browser notifications when asked (and optionally turn on the sound). Decline and the timer still works — it just won't alert you. You can grant permission later in your browser's site settings.
Thinking, writing, designing — the work that's easiest to forget to time — is exactly what a focus session (with the Track timer running) captures for you.
