Locations & trips
Save the places you drive to and from so distance and drive time are captured automatically.
Save the places you regularly travel between, and ProjectPacer can estimate drive time and distance for you — no typing addresses each time.
Save a location
In Settings → Calendar & travel, add a location with its address. As you type, ProjectPacer suggests real addresses so it pins the right spot.
Give it a label you'll recognize — Home office, Acme HQ — and edit it anytime.
Address suggestions and drive-time estimates are powered by Mapbox, which ProjectPacer provides — there's nothing for you to set up. If an address isn't autocompleting, you can still add the location by typing the full address, and enter drive time manually.
Drive time on your entries
When an entry involves travel from a saved origin, ProjectPacer estimates the drive and can attach that time — and the distance becomes a trip automatically.
Travel options
Under Settings → Calendar & travel, a few choices control how travel is estimated and logged:
- Round trip by default — whether adding travel logs both legs.
- What "add travel" creates — travel time + a mileage trip, a mileage trip only, or travel time only.
- Fallback minutes per saved place — used when routing can't reach the provider, so you still get an estimate.
Exclusions
Some places shouldn't generate travel — your own office, a regular spot nearby. Add an exclusion and trips to or from it are skipped, so your mileage log stays honest.
Moved offices? Update the address on the location and future estimates use the new one — no need to redo anything.
