Settings & preferences
Where to find your profile, personal preferences, and workspace settings — and what each controls.
Settings is its own full-screen area, grouped into You (personal) and Workspace (admin). Everything under You affects only your experience; Workspace settings affect everyone.
On a phone
Tapping Profile & settings opens a menu of these same tabs; pick one to drill in. On a computer the grouped sidebar is always there on the left.
You — your personal settings
The You group holds everything that affects only your own experience, spread across a few tabs:
- Profile — your identity and personal display settings (detailed below).
- AI suggestions — which suggestion types you see, and the default project new entries land on.
- Notifications — which nudges you get, and where they arrive.
- Calendar & travel — the calendar feeds you subscribe to and how drive time is estimated.
- Apps & integrations — get the desktop app, and connect the tools your time already lives in.
On the Profile tab
Everything here affects only your own experience:
- Identity — your name and avatar (how you appear to teammates), and a password change. Your email is shown but changed elsewhere.
- Appearance — Light, Dark, or System theme.
- Formatting — start of week (Mon/Sun), 12h/24h time, date format, and time zone.
- Working hours — day start and end; these set the calendar's visible window, when your daily digest arrives, and the start-a-timer nudge. Missed-time suggestions aren't limited to these hours — they follow your actual activity, whenever you work.
- Tab visibility — hide sidebar items you don't use (Track and Settings always stay).
- Data & privacy — export or delete your data, and review the agreements you've accepted.
Workspace settings (admins)
- General — workspace name and logo; owner-only Delete workspace (type-to-confirm). Deleting is a big step but not instant: the workspace stays restorable for 30 days before it's permanently erased.
- Roles & permissions — see Roles & permissions.
- Rates, Invoicing, Timesheets, Team AI — covered in their own guides.
You only see what your role allows
The Workspace group appears for admins, and Rates shows for anyone who can manage rates. A missing section means your role doesn't include it.
