What's new

We refreshed the libraries ProjectPacer is built on and tidied up our build and tooling. Nothing changes in how you work; the app just stays fast, current, and secure.

Jot a task straight into the list and press Enter to add the next one, with no dialog to open. Group your tasks by project or client to see where the work sits, and show, hide, sort, or resize columns to match how you work.

The new ProjectPacer Chrome extension puts a timer in your browser toolbar. Tie each Chrome profile to a client, and your browser time is attributed to them before you even start. Install it from Settings → Apps.

A round of smaller improvements, including the latest Node security release and clearer, more accurate copy across the app and website.

Your workspace now has its own time zone, set in Settings → General by a workspace admin. Timesheets, the Planning board, and pacing all draw their day and week boundaries in that zone, so a Monday is the same Monday for everyone on the team, wherever they are. The picker lists zones the way you actually look for them, by offset from west to east, and every preview updates as you choose. Settings & preferences.

A round of smaller changes, most of them invisible:

• Capacity day counts are accurate again across the Planning views.
• Dismissing a missed-time suggestion now sticks even as your week or period boundaries move, and the evidence shown on each one is more precise.
• A date's midnight resolves correctly across daylight-saving changes, so entries never land on the wrong day.

The macOS app is now signed and notarized by Apple, so a download opens with a normal double-click. No more one-time Terminal command to get it running.

The profile at the bottom of the sidebar now shows a gear, so your settings are easy to spot and a click away.

A round of smaller fixes, including the Mac app's update check working even before you sign in.

You used to get the same nudge on every channel at once. Now each one reaches you once: on the desktop app if it is running, otherwise Slack, otherwise your browser. Nothing is pushed while you are in ProjectPacer itself. Every nudge comes with its buttons: Stop it, Keep going, Start, Not today. The start nudge tells you when your block of work began, and Start begins the timer from then. How it works.

Some calendar feeds stopped picking up new events after the last release. They now sync again, and the Calendar page tells you if a feed ever cannot refresh and what to do about it. Cancelled or moved evening meetings also stopped lingering on the grid. Connect your calendar.

Stretches where your presence signals show you were working, but nothing says on what, are now their own suggestion type. Turn it on under Settings → AI suggestions when you want them; each one asks you for a project before it can be logged.

A round of smaller changes ahead of launch, most of them invisible:

• Sign out of other devices from Account settings, and signing out now ends the session everywhere, not just in that browser.
• Inviting people and sharing links or reports outside your workspace asks you to confirm your email address first.
• Linking a GitHub App that is already installed goes through Verify with GitHub.
• Pausing a timer never bills the pause, whichever app you stop it from.
• A submitted or approved timesheet period can no longer be written into by the calendar, travel, splits or imports.
• Importing someone who already has a ProjectPacer account sends them an invite instead of adding them outright.
• Permissions and billing tightened: nobody can edit a person above their own role, a removed member's report links stop, and the seat count on the Billing page matches the one that gates an invite.
• Personal access tokens are now made either for an AI assistant or for the ProjectPacer API, so a script can call the API with a token.
• The app polls lighter in the background. With the next desktop release, the menu bar shows only your own timer and goes quiet while your Mac is locked.

Every engagement's planned hours, stacked against your workspace capacity, period by period. The Booked vs capacity chart shows each period's load against the ideal band you set, with the hours actually tracked drawn over the plan. Below it, one ribbon per engagement: its pace, where its committed term ends and renewals begin, its milestones. Expand a ribbon to see who's on it and the share of its pace each person covers. Plan by week, two weeks, month, or your own period. Read the guide.

Staff fills an engagement's span from whoever has the most room, in hours or as a share of their week. Adjust pace is a ledger of dated changes — push now, ease off later — against a target you choose, so the engagement still lands on budget, with the burn-up redrawn as you go. Test a scenario stacks moves — take on an engagement, end one, hire, lose a client — and shows Booked, the bench, and the chart under that future, without saving anything.

One lane per person against the hours they have, with a verdict each: on pace, room to sell, or overbooked. Managers see their team, project managers the people on their projects, and everyone else gets Your plan: the engagements you're on, the hours each week, and how you're tracking against them. Money follows See billing and See costs throughout. Who sees what.

Working a client's project under your own SOW? Set up your own engagement on it, from your workspace: your budget, your pace, your rate, invoicing the client you choose. Its hours are the time your people log on that project, and the workspace that shared it never sees it. On the Engagements list it carries a blue globe reading Internal; their engagement shared with you reads External. How it works.

A recurring engagement can stop renewing on a date, so a notice you've already received shows up in the plan. A dollar budget with no rate now says needs a rate instead of plotting dollars as hours. A goal can follow an engagement's live pace, so re-pacing moves the goal with it.

Default capacity sits beside the default bill and cost rates in the workspace defaults, and time off and company holidays moved onto the same page. The default rates save themselves as you leave the field, with a green check to say so, the way capacity does.

It opens from AI Suggestions now, with the Details link beside the captured-time line, instead of from the sidebar. What it shows.

An admin whose role had See billing turned off could still read engagement billing in a few places. It's gated everywhere now.

A new Settings → Capacity & time off brings your workspace's default weekly capacity together with a time-off and company-holiday calendar. Add a person's vacation or sick days from their profile on the People page, or manage everyone's — plus company-wide holidays — in one place.

Billable utilization now divides by available hours — the capacity you set minus time off and company holidays — so a week of vacation no longer drags someone's utilization down as if they were sitting idle.

The Profitability report now leads with the picture you actually want: a row of headline tiles — Billable, Margin, Team utilization, Effective $/hr — and a row of panels that surface what stands out. Choose up to three from the Panels control in the toolbar — margin by client or engagement, utilization by person or team, effective $/hr, or the engagements running most over budget. Each is sorted so the outlier rises to the top, and its link drops you straight into the matching breakdown below. You can now filter the whole dashboard by project and person too, not just client.

Every engagement's detail now shows Realization: what you recognized against what the hours were worth at your standard rates. On a fixed fee or retainer it drops below 100% when you've over-serviced — a $10k fee where the team burned $13k of standard-rate hours reads 77% — so the quietly-unprofitable engagements surface before renewal, not after. On hourly work it catches a discounted rate.

Group the report by Person — or the new Team view — and you'll see utilization: billable hours against each person's available capacity, right next to their effective rate and margin, colour-coded to the healthy 70–85% band so an over-loaded person or an under-booked team stands out. Switch it on by setting a workspace default capacity on the People page (override it per person for part-timers). Capacity is effective-dated, so changing someone's hours never rewrites past months.

Every report — Hours, Profitability, AI Capture, and Mileage — now has one Share button with four ways out: a CSV, a formatted PDF, a live link anyone (or only invited emails) can open in a browser, and a recurring email on the schedule you set. Each carries your current filters and date range, and you pick exactly what it shows — the charts, the grouping, and whether to include the full entry list — so a client PDF can stay high-level while a link carries the detail.

A new Email section under Settings → Notifications lists the emails ProjectPacer sends you and lets you switch off the ones you don't want — timesheet reminders and each scheduled report you're on, one by one. Turning a report off stops it for you alone, without affecting anyone else on it. Legally-required and account-critical emails — renewal notices, security codes, password resets — always send.

Every scheduled-report email now carries a Manage preferences link (and one-click Unsubscribe). Recipients outside your workspace — a client, a finance contact — can drop a single report or stop every email to their address from a no-login page, so it's easy for them to stay in control and easy for you to stay compliant.

Built an invoice? Send it straight to your accounting system. Alongside the PDF, the invoice builder now exports a QuickBooks- or Xero-ready CSV — each in that platform's own format, one row per line item, ready to import. The Xero step takes your account code, and each step links to the provider's own import guide, so the file drops in cleanly with no re-keying at month-end.

The invoice builder now opens already set up for each engagement's billing model — a retainer bills the retainer fee, a fixed-fee project bills the fee, time & materials bills all tracked hours — with a note at the top of what it picked and why. Every section is still a toggle, so the common invoice is one click and the exception is still yours to make.

The invoice builder now shows the real invoice — the same page that prints — and you edit it in place. Change any field, edit a line's description, quantity, or rate right on the line, drag lines to reorder, and add or remove lines, with the totals updating as you go. What you see is exactly what you send.

Set the invoice's billing period and it pulls just that window's tracked time and billable expenses — so a monthly retainer can bill July on its own, or start the period the Monday after the 1st when the month opens on a weekend. A fixed fee or milestones aren't time-based, so they stay put.

Choose how tracked time lands on the invoice: rolled up by person, by task type, or a single line — or by entry, one line per tracked entry, with Date, Person, Task, and Task type available as columns you switch on. However detailed the client wants it.

Open any engagement, hit Share, and create a link to a read-only dashboard your client opens in a browser — no account, no login. It mirrors your engagement view (pace, budget, burn-up, who's contributing, milestones, recent time) with a toggle for every section, so you show exactly what you want. Cost and margin are never included, and the dollar budget and effective rate are an explicit opt-in you can only turn on if you can see billing yourself.

Choose anyone with the link, ask for their email, or require a verified email — and limit it to specific people or whole domains. Keep it live (updates every time they open it) or freeze a snapshot for a date range like July 1–31 for a clean month-end recap. Make several links per engagement — say an open summary plus an email-gated full view — each with its own settings, expiry, and revoke.

Every new workspace now begins with 30 days of unlimited projects and seats — no credit card. Add your whole book of business, invite your team, and see the profitability picture before you decide anything. A quiet banner shows how many days you have left, and Billing & plans can keep your exact setup in one click (add a card during the trial and you're not charged until it ends).

When the trial ends, your first project and seat stay free, forever — with every feature. If you added more, nothing is deleted: you choose what stays active on the free plan, and the rest is archived (or moved to free view-only for extra teammates) and comes back the instant you add a card. Prefer to keep it all running? One click does that too.

Decide what each role can see and do — which tabs they open, whether they see billing or costs, and whose time they can view or edit — from Settings → Roles & permissions. Each role starts from a sensible default you can fine-tune, and you can override any one person on the People screen. Every capability now spells out exactly what it does. The free Viewer role is read-only by design — ideal for a stakeholder or internal analyst who should see the work, and can even export it, but never change it.

Bring in a contractor, agency, or client-side teammate from their own workspace and share just the client or project they're working on. They can log time and follow progress on that work — and never see your rates, costs, or revenue. Manage their access, per-project bill rates, and timesheet approver right from People. Collaborators are free on up to three of your active projects.

Hand someone full control of a single client or project — edit it, set up its engagements, manage its people, set its bill rates, even archive or delete it — without making them a workspace admin. They see only the work they run, and a crown marks the projects you manage.

A goal can now count — and be shared with — just you, your team, a project's team, specific people, or the whole workspace. Project-team goals can even include the outside collaborators on that work, so you can share a target instead of the whole engagement.

Engagements open in the detailed view by default (and remember your choice), you can archive one to hide it from the active list while keeping its history, and the per-person breakdown now respects who's allowed to see others' time.

Your workspace's price now follows what you provision. The first project and first seat are free; each extra project is $2.49/mo (capped at $29.88/mo, then unlimited), and each extra seat is $4.99/mo. Every feature is included on every plan — you pay to scale, not to unlock. On Billing & plans, build your plan with simple dials and watch the total add up, itemized, before you pay. Collaborators are free on up to three of your projects.

Hit your limit while creating a project or inviting your team? A quick prompt lets you add exactly what you need — set projects, seats, and monthly or annual right there — and it finishes the job for you, creating the project or sending the invites as soon as you're set. No trip to settings.

Entries on the timesheet and calendar now read Client › Project, not just the project name — so two same‑named projects under different clients are easy to tell apart at a glance.

In a workspace's People list, deactivated members are now hidden by default — the same way archived clients and projects are — with a Show deactivated (N) toggle to bring them back when you need them. Your active roster stays clean.

When you edit, split, or accept a suggestion for an entry, the client, project, and task choices now come from that entry's workspace — so you can't accidentally file time onto a look‑alike project in a different workspace.

The suggestion count next to Suggested in the sidebar now reflects everything actually waiting — missed time and duplicates, overlaps, and switched time — and follows the workspace(s) you have selected, showing the total across all of them or just the one you're viewing. Clear a suggestion and it stays cleared instead of reappearing.

Clicking a browser, desktop, or Slack notification now reliably opens the exact screen it's about — even if you have to sign in first — instead of dropping you on the home page. Slack's timer and “log it” buttons are more dependable, and browser notifications keep working across long stretches instead of quietly switching themselves off.

Started a timer in the wrong workspace? You don't have to stop it. Click the timer's Logging to line, choose Move this timer to…, and confirm — the clock keeps running, and your description and elapsed time come along. The client, project, and task belong to the old workspace, so they clear on the move; pick them again on the other side.

A timer running in one workspace no longer gets pulled into another when you switch workspaces in the sidebar. Its Logging to label — and the client, project, and task you can edit on it — stay tied to the workspace it's actually logging to, so viewing or working in a different workspace can't quietly re‑file time that's still running.

Starting a timer in the desktop menu‑bar app no longer briefly flashes the running‑timer card before it settles into place.

When you tracked one block but were really bouncing between projects, the new Split entry suggestion carves it apart — using the activity it actually found (a commit, a Slack message, a meeting) plotted on the entry's own timeline. You see exactly what put each piece where, can carve a stray moment onto its real project, drag the boundaries to fine‑tune, and apply — nothing changes until you do. When a couple of projects are tangled together, it leads with the evidence and lets you decide instead of guessing.

Start a timer and it now ticks up in your browser tab title, so you can spot the active timer from another tab at a glance — optionally with the client and project names and seconds too. It mirrors to the desktop menu‑bar app, and you can turn it off.

The AI Suggestions settings are now grouped by what each suggestion does — Recover time, Fix entries, Refine time — so it reads at a glance, and every suggestion shows its “why?” receipts by default (times only, never what's on your screen). Sources is a tidy list of just what's feeding suggestions, with connecting new ones moved to your Integrations so the page stays small.

Start‑a‑timer and missed‑time nudges now wait for corroboration — a real work signal, or a few presence pings across a stretch — so a single stray ping won't nudge you. Back‑to‑back missed time on the same project merges into one suggestion (a short gap counts as switching time) instead of several, and project‑mismatch only flags an entry when one of your rules disagrees — clearing out the bulk of the false alarms.

Your calendars are personal, so the meeting → project map now spans every workspace at once — no more switching workspaces to pin a recurring meeting to its project, and no more mis‑assigning it. Rules are grouped by workspace, duplicate rules are flagged with a one‑click Merge, and search finds any meeting fast.

Profile is slimmed down — a merged Display card with an inline theme control, your password behind a dialog, and working‑days selection that also gates your digest and nudges. Notifications drops the old grid for three plain sections — how you're notified, what to notify you about, and timing — with per‑notification toggles that appear only for the channels you've connected.

Fixed a bug where changing one notification preference could overwrite your browser notification settings.

Start a timer and it now appears on the calendar as a live Active block that grows toward the current time — so the stretch you're tracking right now is visible instead of a blank gap. Stop the timer and it settles into a normal tracked block you can move or resize.

The calendar has a new view switcher: Day, Work week (Monday–Friday), or Week. It opens on Work week by default, so the usually‑empty weekend columns step aside and your weekdays get more room. Your choice is remembered on this device. While you're there, the person, workspace, and calendar controls now tuck behind a single Filters button, keeping the toolbar about navigating your week.

When someone leaves or steps away, you can now Deactivate them from the People screen instead of removing them outright. They lose access to the workspace and drop out of the pickers, but their tracked hours stay in your reports and you can still filter by them. It's fully reversible — Reactivate restores their role and access anytime. Removing someone permanently is still there as a secondary option.

The Filters button on Hours and Mileage no longer opens a pop‑over and a panel at the same time on a computer; and on a phone, the AI Suggestions header no longer squeezes the “Missed meetings” title when travel is involved.

On the calendar's week grid you can now fix a tracked block without opening the editor: drag the block to a different time, or drag its top or bottom edge to change when it started or ended — perfect for an in‑person meeting that started earlier than you logged or ran long. Everything snaps to 15 minutes and saves the moment you drop. An entry in a submitted or approved timesheet shows a lock and stays put — click it to edit through the usual review flow.

Moving between tabs in the installed (Add to Home Screen) app is quicker — a tab you were just on comes right back instead of reloading from the server on every tap.

The mobile Start‑a‑timer flow is smoother: when your workspace uses task types the project step leads with them, and a single Start timer button gets you running in one tap — pick a project and go, or drop into the task list when you want a specific task. Recent tasks moved out of the way since the Track list already has one‑tap play.

The Hours and Mileage reports now tuck their filters behind a single Filters button, show whatever you've set as removable chips, and add a one‑tap Clear. The date range stays out front, so the toolbar is quiet until you need it.

An engagement now says how it rounds tracked time — e.g. “rounds to 15 min” — right in its header and next to its entries, so a total never looks off without an explanation.

The desktop menu‑bar timer got a tidy‑up: the running timer is a crisp white card, Pause/Resume are icons, every field lines up at one size, and “Started” reads in your own date and time format instead of the browser's. (Update the Mac app to get it.)

Tasks marked Done (or a linked GitHub issue that's Closed) no longer show up when you're picking a task to log time against — the list stays about live work. They're still on the board.

Travel logged from the calendar now appears right away instead of needing a refresh; the task picker inside Add entry manually on a phone opens all the way instead of a cramped strip; and the desktop timer no longer flickers while you edit a running entry.

If you belong to more than one workspace, Timesheets now work across all of them from one place. Submit lists every workspace you turn a timesheet into — each on its own schedule, approver, and deadline — so you can send them one after another without switching workspaces. And if you approve people in more than one workspace, Approve gathers them all into a single inbox, grouped by workspace, so nothing waits unseen in a workspace you're not currently in. Every submit and approval still applies only to its own workspace, and your permissions are always checked per workspace.

The Showing control now works on the Timesheet grid too. In All workspaces mode your week merges your own time from every workspace into one grid — each row tagged with its workspace, with day and week totals added up across them. A row in a workspace whose period is already approved or locked shows a lock, so you can see at a glance what's final and won't edit it by mistake.

Start, stop, pause, or edit a timer on the web, your phone, or the desktop menu bar, and your other open surfaces catch up on their own — usually within a second, no refresh, and no stale timer left running after you've stopped it elsewhere. The Mac menu-bar app keeps pace the same way.

On Track, a timer running in another workspace now shows up when you're viewing that workspace (in All workspaces), instead of only appearing in the one you're actively in — so a timer you left running elsewhere is never hidden.

Track now always shows the real elapsed time on each entry — a 13-minute entry reads as 13m, not a rounded 15m. Rounding stays where billing lives: Hours, Reports, and exports still follow your rounding preference, so the tracker stays a faithful stopwatch.

Archived clients and projects, and deactivated people, no longer clutter the dropdowns and pickers around the app — you choose from what's active. The full list is still there wherever you manage those records.

In the Mac menu-bar app, the running timer's description gets its own full-width row instead of being squeezed between the elapsed time and the Pause / Stop buttons — so it stops truncating and lines up cleanly with the fields below.

If you belong to more than one workspace, a new Showing control on Track, Hours, Calendar, and Mileage gathers your own tracked time from every workspace at once — or a hand-picked few — so you can see your whole week in one place and group by workspace to see how it splits. It's always just your own time, never a teammate's.

Have a separate login for another team or your own side work? Add account keeps several ProjectPacer accounts in the same browser and lets you switch between them in a click — grouped by email, with no signing out and back in.

Every workspace now has its own color, shown on the switcher, the running timer, and any list that spans workspaces — so you can always tell at a glance which one you're in.

Logging time from a calendar meeting now opens the full entry editor — task type, task, billable, and travel — instead of a stripped-down popover, so a meeting you log carries the same detail as any other entry.

Reports, Calendar, and Mileage now gather their controls under a single Filters button, with tidier headers — a month picker on Calendar, one Export menu, and Refresh moved up into the header — so the screens stay readable without side-scrolling.

When you connect an AI assistant or Slack, you can now aim it at a specific workspace — or, for the assistant, across every workspace you belong to — so its suggestions and commands land where you expect.

Track rows, the Hours report, and timesheets now show each entry's task type, and it's included in your CSV exports — so you can see and report on the kind of work, not just the project. On the Hours report you can also group by task type.

The Hours report has a new Columns menu — turn When, Description, Project, Person, Task type, and Duration on or off to build the view you actually read. Your choice sticks for next time.

When importing time from another tool, you can now map a Task type column. Its values become your workspace's task types — matched to ones you already have or created for you — and each imported entry is tagged, so type-based reporting works on your history from day one.

Calendar invites and logged time now look distinct at a glance, and when a meeting and the time you logged during it overlap, they sit side by side instead of on top of each other — so both stay readable.

If you belong to more than one workspace, a workspace switcher now sits in the top bar on mobile, so you can move between them from anywhere — and avoid logging to the wrong one.

Select all matching on the Hours report now scales to 10,000 entries for a single uniform change (reassign, re-project, set task type…), applied with a faster behind-the-scenes engine. It still respects locked periods and your permissions, and stays undoable.

On the Hours report, when your filters match more entries than are on screen, a prompt now offers Select all N matching — one click applies your bulk change (reassign, re-project, edit description, delete…) to the whole matching set, not just the rows you can see. Everything still respects locked periods and your permissions, and stays undoable for 30 days. Large matches are done in batches of up to 1,000 so every change can be reversed.

The Hours report loads your most recent entries up front and now has a Load more button to page through the rest — so your full history is always reachable, without waiting on one giant load. Totals and the trend chart always cover everything, whatever's on screen.

Track and the Hours report now stay quick even in workspaces with many thousands of entries — the app loads a focused window of recent activity and pulls the rest on demand, and report totals are computed more efficiently behind the scenes.

The burn-up chart on an engagement now draws its progress line from complete totals, so it stays correct even for very large engagements with tens of thousands of hours.

Task types (Design, Development, PM…) now apply to every entry — not just time on a task-type-billing engagement. Pick one right on the timer or when you add time manually, then group the Hours report by task type to see where your time actually goes. It shows up only once your workspace has task types set up (under Settings → Rates), so nothing clutters Track otherwise.

Clockify is now a workspace integration: an admin connects your company's Clockify once, and each teammate's time syncs there under their own Clockify name — no more everyone wiring up their own account. Map each person to their Clockify user in Settings → Apps & integrations → Clockify. Connecting and mapping is admin-only (the Manage workspace integrations permission; grant it to other roles under Settings → Roles & permissions).

In more than one workspace? The Hours report now has a This workspace / All my workspaces toggle. Switch it on to total your own tracked time across every workspace you're in — grouped by workspace, so you can see your whole week in one place. It only ever shows your own time, and only appears when you belong to more than one workspace.

The Mac desktop app now has a workspace switcher (when you're in more than one), and shows the task-type picker too — so you can track into the right workspace without opening a browser. Switching pauses while a timer is running or time is still syncing, so nothing lands in the wrong place. Update to the latest version to get it.

Two different clients can now have a project with the same name (say, "Website Redesign") — project names only need to be unique within a client. To keep things clear, projects show as Client › Project wherever it helps.

Moving from Clockify, Toggl, or a spreadsheet? You can now import your existing time entries, clients, projects, and tasks instead of starting from scratch. Upload a CSV, map the columns (we detect the common formats for you), confirm the timezone the file's times are in, and preview exactly what will be created or matched to what you already have before importing. Something look off? Undo the whole import in one click. You'll find it under Settings → General → Import, or right in the welcome flow when you first sign up.

On the Hours report, select several entries and change them together — reassign their project, tasks, task type, or person, edit the description, or delete them — instead of one at a time. On Clients & projects, you can merge a duplicate client or project into another and move its time across in a single step. Every bulk change can be undone for 30 days. It's available to Owners and Admins by default; grant it to other roles under Settings → Roles & permissions.

The Activity chart now has proper hour axes and gridlines, keeps its date labels at any range, and no longer stretches or looks blank when there are lots of entries or projects. Under All time it spans exactly the dates you've tracked, instead of squeezing everything against one edge.

Timesheets can now run a full submit → approve flow. Each period, everyone reviews their time and submits it; an approver approves it or sends it back with a note to fix. It's built for real teams: deadlines for submitting and approving with email reminders, an escalation path (miss your window and it moves to your approver, then an admin), optional auto-submit / auto-approve, and custom rules for anyone on a different cadence. External collaborators you've shared projects with can submit their time into your workspace too, and approved periods lock automatically so finished time stops moving. It's off by default — an admin turns it on under Settings → Timesheets.

When you change a rate, you now choose how it lands: to all time — past and future re-price — or only from a date forward, leaving earlier hours on the old rate. Every hour is priced at the rate that was in effect on the day it was worked, so a going-forward change never rewrites past reports or invoices.

ProjectPacer is now built for mobile. Every screen adapts to a small screen with a bottom tab bar, and AI Suggestions becomes a tap-friendly review feed — accept, edit, or swipe to dismiss each one. You can also install it like an app: open ProjectPacer in your phone's browser and add it to your home screen for a full-screen, app-like experience.

A connected AI assistant can now propose time entries for you — "you spent about an hour on the Q3 deck; want me to add that?" Proposals land in AI Suggestions in their own group (Claude suggestions, ChatGPT suggestions, …), can carry the right project and task(s), and are yours to Accept — edit first if you like — or Dismiss. Nothing is logged until you approve it. Your assistant also reads the same open items you see, so it fills gaps instead of repeating suggestions you already have. Connect one under Settings → Apps & integrations → AI assistant.

You can now connect an AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Cursor, and other MCP-capable apps — directly to your workspace, and talk to your time tracking: "start a timer on the Acme redesign," "log my 2–3:30 meeting to Internal," "what did I track this week?" Add ProjectPacer's address in your assistant, sign in once, and pick a workspace — no keys to copy. It acts as you, only within your existing permissions, and it respects locked timesheets. Set it up — and disconnect anytime — under Settings → Apps & integrations → MCP.

ProjectPacer can now nudge you through your web browser — a running-timer reminder, things to review, the daily digest — even when the tab is closed, with no app to install. Turn it on per device under Settings → Notifications and send yourself a test to confirm it works.

Notifications are now a simple grid: each row is a kind of nudge, each column a channel — Slack, Desktop app, or Browser. Pick exactly where each one lands, in any combination. A channel that can't reach you yet shows a lock and a way to connect it, so you never switch on a nudge that quietly goes nowhere.

You can now click a time entry on an engagement to edit it in place — the same quick edit you already had in Reports and everywhere else.

Hitting Stop on a running-timer nudge in Slack now ends the entry at the point your activity trailed off — not the moment you clicked. This fixes a case where dismissing an overnight nudge could log a huge block of time you didn't work.

The AI Suggestions tab now offers two ways to review time you may have missed. List groups suggestions by type into calm, scannable cards; Timeline places them on your actual day so you can see each one in the context of what you already tracked. Switch anytime — it remembers which you last used.

Opt in to a running-timer reminder, a heads-up about time to review, a start-a-timer nudge, or an end-of-day digest — delivered as a Slack DM or a native desktop notification, on your schedule and inside your quiet hours. Everything is off until you turn it on.

Missed time is now built from real windows of activity split by the projects you were actually working in, with a confidence rating on each — so the suggestions are fewer, tighter, and easier to trust.

Connect a Slack workspace and use /pp commands to start, stop, pause, and log time right from any channel or DM — no context switch. It respects the same permissions and timesheet locks you have in the app.

With Slack connected, ProjectPacer can tell when you're active and use that to make its time suggestions more accurate. It reads only timestamps and metadata — never the contents of your messages — and disconnecting it deletes everything stored for it.

Download a complete copy of your data — your own, or (with permission) the whole workspace — whenever you want.

Delete your account or a workspace and it enters a 30-day grace window: locked but fully restorable, so an accidental deletion is recoverable, and a real one is permanent once the window closes.

Your data is backed up to encrypted off-site storage on a rolling basis, so it can be recovered if the worst happens.

ProjectPacer now spots time you may have missed — matching calendar meetings to projects and surfacing gaps for you to review. Nothing is ever logged automatically: sources only suggest, and you approve, edit, or dismiss.
